alittlepaperdoll's playlist...

ok so seeing as how my band amp aniversery came up, (yay!) i thought its time to update the bio. well im 17 now, live in the usa, and came upon band amp by tottle accident about a year ago :) since then ive turned into the ultimate band amp addict and cant pry my self away. ive got a couple of c rated songs out, just fl or acid loops, but im learning a great deal about both programs and its about time lol! any ways, i dont play any insterments (other than the computerrized ones) and i do sing, (but not very well.) so youll proubly find most of my stuff in the lyrics forum because thats were i post most frequently, also im in the chat alot, so if you have any questions about anything, or just want to say hi, feel free to :)

High

Well... this song was conceived in the small room above my parents' garage. I thought of it while I was showering. That's pretty much the whole story...

So I just deleted it because there was this huge gap around the middle. (I kind of didn't listen to it before uploading the first time). so now the gap is gone....

I'd appreciate it if people would leave some feedback, and... like... do something... if they like it.

Any comments, concerns, complaints... or really anything that has to do with anything is welcome.

Thanks

The Badlands

He found it in the Badlands
Sparkling in the desert sand
Just an old shot glass
My friend

Told me bout a movie star
Met the reaper didn’t get that far
And all his Hollywood buddies
Met at the place he crashed his car

And they all gathered in the sand
Each had a shot glass in his right hand
They were drinking coke and crown
They held it up and drank it down

I’ve got a feeling you’ve been here before
Was it you who met the reaper at the door
Every night you saddle up that white horse in your dreams
Put on your long tall hat and chase your memories

I’ve got a silent movie
Playing in my mind
It’s been tainted
By the stains of time

I’ve been all around the world
And I’ve seen all kinds of signs
Never comprehending
All the things I’ll never find

Every time I hold it up
I’ll toast the memory
Every time I drink it down
It knocks me to my knees

Sinking Heart

i'd rather be drifting lost at sea,
without a compass or map,
with nowhere to be.
but i'm here anchored to a town,
with nothing to do except,
keep sinking...

down.
i'll keep sinking down.
i'll keep sinking...
its hard to see the silver lining
on this cloud.
i let you down,
and they let you down,
we're all sinking...
cracks in the pavement swallow souls
in this town.

this heart upon my sleeve,
its always in the way.
if i was sea worthy i'd,
sail so far away
your heart upon the waves,
is heavy with the rain,
if i came to bail you out,
would you sail with me again?

i guess we'll remain strangers,
riding many storms on different seas,
but our currents have colided here,
your eyes have brought me to my knees,
i'm sinking...

down.
i'll keep sinking down.
we'll keep sinking...
i want to make you smile and come around
but i've killed it now
i let you down,
and you brought me down,
we're both sinking...
i've seen that i missunderstood you.
and i've killed it now,
before it ever was,
now it'll never be
before it ever was
now it'll never be

you will find a seaworthy
ship, you will sail away
something you can love and trust,
until your dying day
this heart upon my sleeve,
keeps me bound this way.
my heavy heart is pulled appart,
i'm sinking.

This is the full version of my earlier post. This was created using individual samples which I edited into what you hear. The scratching was a mother but I got it finally. This was a BLAST, living out a fantasy as a rapper.......... lmao. If you don't laugh you aint got no funny bone,I don't care who you are that's funny right there.Feel free to sing along! For those who are impatient the fun begins at 1 minute 8 secs.I don't know if this is battle worthy but this post has got me the most responses so I have entered it in the August battle. So like my fellow homie P Diddy says.... VOTE OR DIE!

Watch'n TV my tumbly gets rumbly
I stumbly fumbly run for the fridge
Not sure what me wants or what me
may need, I take a moment to think
HMMMMMMMMM
I feel a tap on my shoulder and I can
smell something sweet, the aroma
catches my attention, If your hungry
I got what ya need, follow me around
the kitchen
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly
She slowly seduced me, I became
real weak, she said I have a friend
He's real sticky and has big nuts,
He's got a lovely tan
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly

Skippy peanut butter n'jelly
Now I usually would say no but
her sweet nectar had me so........
we went real slow to the counter
As I began to splatter, sweet nectar
on a platter, I asked what's a matter
Her heart raced pitter patter, your
going to eat me, I said yum
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly

Skippy peanut butter n'jelly
Busted a cap in the mistress of the night
I growled and moaned to the very last bite
her death was untimly but she had to go
Now I got's to run to my corner store
ham and cheese they just don't cut it
havin a fire with a hole in your bucket
Sloppin Jelly on soother and Yo I'll suck it
come on everybody recite it

Jelly, Jelly in a my belly
Jelly, Jelly in a my belly

Now don't you think I forgot about skippy
4:20 on the clock, He starts to get lippy
Talkin all this shit I have big nuts
So I silenced the bitch inside my guts
Now all alone cause I killed my friends
I was only hungry it was never the plan
Self hunger I shouted as I took the stand
Pounds his gavel I'm a free man sing it!

Useless

Probably not to the musical tastes of many here and most will probably agree that the title is remarkably apt. However, I am open to any and all feedback. Please feel free to take the piss out of the singing. It is not good but I wanted vocals so I did my best ( I really did!) :)

Thankyou in advance for any and all comments.

PS If you give up your time to listen to the track, please vote. 40%, 50%, whatever- it doesn't matter. It would help me to know that you feel that way and it would help my vote count for the January battle too :) Cheers.

Fun Police

I wrote this, cause I noticed,
that you was, slip slip-pin' away

We're with the fun Po-Poe
We're here to letcha know
That the pool table's closed
And Everybody knows

We're with the Fun Police
We're here to steal your high
We're with the Fun Police
Your fun is gonna die

( My billions gone, my, my, my billions gone, my billions gone. )

Your fun is gonna die.

It's so easy
So come get a little dizzy with me,
And when the champagne fizzles,
I know it's gonna treat cha alright.

( That's right... )

For awhile only,
You know it's gonna get me, get me, One day or another.
This I know is clear,
One day or another.

I got the, got the chrome lights, baby,
On top my mini van,
I saw ya check it out, damn,
Just a little decked out, and,
Trippy... Kinda crazy? Maybe. Maybe.

But cha wont see me crying, crying.
They come in the middle of the night.
They're gonna murder tonight.
Feelin nervous is alright.

It's a lock, stock, ca-cock, and two smokin bullets,
A montage of unholy context,
You've gotta, work to live, and live to die,
When it feels the worlds giving you the evil eye.

I'm crawling down the streets of hell,
Only left to sell myself,
Like gold, like gold, like gold [echo out]
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Your fun is gonna die.
Your fun is gonna die.

A montage of unholy context,
You've gotta, work to live, and live to die,
When it feels the worlds giving you the evil eye.

I'm crawling down the streets of hell,
Only left to sell myself,
Like gold, like gold, like gold [echo out]
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Your fun is gonna die.
Your fun is gonna die.

Wanna Get Down

A campy, simple little song. The recording quality is not the best, but hey - we all do what we can. Looking forward to your honest feedback.

Our band is called Honey - we're currently recording our first full length. This song is an older, unmixed version...recorded with some former band mates. When the new one is done I'll pop it up. Please vote! :D

Burning Within

Hmmmmmmm, let me see. This is loud, aggressive and obnoxious.(says the wife) Everything I look for in a tune. Anyways I wanted to make another punk song since my last couple were all mellow. The clean guitar riff in the break is actually a couple of my buddies riff that they would jam out to around the fire at their backyard get togethers..so it has sentimental value and I used to love hearing them play over it.... so I just had to use it.This is 100% effect free, just plugged the guitar, bass, and mic in and let it rip. Then I adjusted the levels after I recorded everything. I didn't create the drums this time I used some loops I found.

Feel free to tell me you hate it.... or if you like it

Burning Within

I feel this rage inside of me, eating my inner lining
continuously feeding, consuming the man I used to be
Weakened by our society, dictating to me
digesting my hopes smashing my fuckin dreams

Chorus

It stops today if we all stand up
Come on everybody fight the good fight
Wash away the guilt that you feel
For our children we musnt kneel
United we stand conquering all
World Peace for the existence of man
World Peace for the existence of man

Is it for my father? Am I unhappy with the world?
sick of the fighting, tired of the senseless killing
Taking life for granted, we dont give anything back
I must ask... can we leave this to our children? It's No!

*chorus

Instrumental

Everyman has his breakin point, well mines today
no longer lack the courage time for me to be brave
Through the eyes of a crying child I see my destiny
time for me to go son, why Daddy why? oh why!

*chorus

The Sound Of Blast

THE RELOADING:
Reloading it because of some problem which occured earlier....
no change in the song....!

THEME:
The song is made in memory of the people who died in the blast which took place in Mubai,India.....on 11th July,2006....The song doesnt represent terror...It represents the hope of man!!!!

ABOUT THE COMPOSITION:
The thunders represent the slow but steady movement of terror...which is coming to attack...then the guitar shows that the terror is trying its best to attack.....then the blast takes place...when the terror is at its best(hight notes).....

the rains represent the tears of the nature....also the sympathy towards the dead people.......

then the piano part represents hope......which is the hope of the people of the world...
they try to show that nothing is lost...
WHATEVER TERROR MAY DO...IT WILL NEVER DESTROY THE SOUL OF MAN..

CREDITS:
guitar played by my friend
piano by me

thunder and wind is taken from AGE OF MYTHOLOGY
the blast from GRAND THEFT AUTO 3
the rain from SIM SAFARI......

This song was uploaded for the First and Worst thread (http://forum.bandamp.com/The_Pit/22290.html)

Um.. unfortunately, this falls in both categories...

Also, I recorded lyrics with it, and then removed them shortly after. Sadly, I can't find the original track w/lyrics. That might have been a good laugh...

by the way, that's my acoustic/electric takamine plugged into my computer.. and I believe those drum loops were included with GarageBand..

Like You Do

Me and the wrestler broke up. This is for him, but I havn't decided if I want him to hear it or not.
Something went wrong when I was uploading from my computer on to this one from my mp3 player. It sorta skips a bit I think, Hmmm.

(V1)
He said, Whats up?
I said the sky and birds and clouds and things.
He said, Why so closed up?
Well you'd shut your mouth if you were me.
He bought me a whisky,
He bought me a beer,
And said all the things that I wanted to hear,
And he was,
So beautiful...

(C)
But he's not you.
He doesn't do it like you do.
He's not built like you.
He doesn't make *.....* like you do.
(You doooo.) Do you miss me yet do you miss me?
(You doooo.) Do you miss me yet do you miss me yet, do you?

(V2)
You said, You love me,
I said it too.
The difference is,
I meant it, but saying it wont make it true.
I met a boy the other night. he think he's,
Pretty cool.
But I think he's nothing special,
Cause he's not a bit,
Like Yooooouuuu.

(C)
But he's not you.

He's not built like you.
He doesn't make *.....* like you do.
(You doooo.) Do you miss me yet do you miss me?
(You doooo.) Do you miss me yet do you miss me yet, do you?
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. (Do you miss me? I bet you do?)(Rpt)
If you want to, I'll play by your rules.
If you forgive me, I'll mend your broken heart.
Woooah.

But he's not you.
He doesn't do it like you do.
He's not built like you.
He doesn't make *.....* like you do.
(You doooo.) Do you miss me yet do you miss me?
(You doooo.) Do you miss me yet do you miss me yet, do you?
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. (Do you miss me? I bet you do?)(Rpt)
If you want to, I'll play by your rules.
If you forgive me, I'll mend your broken heart.
Woooah.

I came up with this in about half an hour, you can probably tell. I've used up my encoding limit on Acid Xpress so I probably wont be doing any music for a while...unless anyone can sugest any decent free software I can download?? I have no money at all. If I did I'd go out and buy some.
Anywho, tell me what you think of this
Thanks
x
By the way, the funny noise after 'We live, We learn, We grow,' was the phone ringing...haha

My Love

Myself and a friend of mine started writing some songs recently, this is our first attempt at writing and recording. We recorded it in one take so try and see past the obvious mistakes that spending more time on it could fix. Enjoy!!

the idea for the lyrics was actually ripped of a French band whose name I have since forgotten: 'Je veux etre ta culotte'.

_Detenerte_

The lyrics are in spanish and my voice is not really good, but I like the music (and the lyrics). These are the lyrics:

This is the english translation for the lyrics, I hope I did it right:

If I'd try to stop you
for a single time
to stop you
with a light crucible
to stop you

Oh, you would be that light
thas was, that was, thas was
in the last winter
in the past moons
and the lived time
that I'll never have,
that is gone.

If I'd try to stop you
with a magical sheet
or with a thousand love songs

You would be that shadow
that was, that was, that was
in the desert nights
of lost rains
and the lonely sea
that I'll never have,
that is gone.

But if I'd get to stop you
if the moon and the sea stops
if time and the sun stops

Oh, you won't be the light
thas goes, that goes, that goes
in the morning next to the sea
in my nocturnal dreams
and the starred time
that soon will come.

Don't be surprised by the first chord of "Heaven's Out of Reach"--it is actually the last chord of "The Forest" (a song that that I uploaded earlier): on our self produced CD "Heaven's Out of Reach" fades in right after "The Forest" with no "space" (sorry, forgot the right term for it) in between. Hope you like it, but let me know either way.

MICE-T Vs LOCAL PARK

Well well well, just look what you have gone and done....If your going to label, segregate and make the expresion of an individuals creativity an action that makes he or she feel uncomfortable within the ethos of a society based on upon an open mind, acceptance and respect regardless of culture and preference.......your going to end up with a problem.....oh yes you are.....
This track was created and produced in my Lab by the Mice as a direct result of a recent, almost facist minded like comments posted on this site.
My only input was after all sixteen of them had finished and gone to bed, was to pick all the little poo's up they so kindly left trapped in the felt bits on my faders.....not that it was a problem guys....anytime...
I hope now, after listening to this Gift my mice have given you all, we can let the spoken of differences be issue no longer.
For now, just sit back and listen and regadless of taste just keep reminding your selves...." bloody hell...a bunch of mice did this?".
That alone has got to be worth your vote.........Peace my good friends.

P.s....the mice wanted me to say a special "YO"...to The Shadow Man....you know who you are, and Blakatz....the mice dedicate this one to you.

Kitsch Rock

done in one take(ish), the fall out boy bit was added as an afterthought...no offence to any fans of fallout boy...i hate them though. got the idea for the lyrics from my bud kaf, who had a big long rant after she came back from a guitar lesson. the 'flower sniffin, kitty pettin, baby kissin corporate rock whore' is a line from kurt cobains biography, something he said in an interview i think, i aint to sure...it might even be from a song, but its also her headline on myspaz. oops i mean, myspace.

lyrics:

you can't do anything
that hasn't been done before
you could kill yourself
but it wouldn't be original
so get your tattoo, some drums and some guitars
and powerchord your way through it all

lucky you, they're paying at the store
flower sniffin, kitty pettin, baby kissin
corporate rock whore
and even that line isn't mine
cause i'm a copy-cat, this n that,
bubble blowing little kitsch whore.

this is all thats left, recycled souls on display
in little plastic cases with pretty airbrushed faces
its cool to get wasted and fool around
to get high and feel proud
cause its all fun, bad dirty fun

who will be there when you hit the floor?
flower sniffin, kitty pettin, baby kissin
corporate rock whore
so i stole some wise words
cause i'm a copy-cat this n that,
bubble blowing little kitsch whore.

you wont ever sing a note that hasn't been sung,
you wont ever write a word that isn't already written.
you wont touch the sky,
you wont get the girl,
you wont beat the man,
you wont change the world.
fall out boy, fuck off boy (rpt til end)

I started writing/recording music on my laptop back in the spring (2005). This is one of the first songs I wrote and recorded. I recorded all of the instrumentation and vocals using click tracks. The drums are electronic and the strings came from my keyboard.

this morning

this one was born before my feet hit the floor this morning.

sort of an... electro noodle... doodle... it's something anyway.

took about a half hour... so nothing big... instrumental... had a sudden urge to experiment with different time signatures...

7/4 to begin and end... middle section (2:20) 5/4

it's good walking music, as long as you don't listen too closely, cause your feet might get all tangled up.

Unchain Me

This is a song I wrote while I was with a band called Once a Traitor. This recording was actually finished after I left. Here are the lyrics.

Unchain Me

I feel the strain of all the faces I must maintain
Hi, nice to meet you but you're in my space
Another mask for me to keep in place
The bottoms out and my hold is slipping

I can't contain a million stories, must I explain
The weight is growing, what was my name
The life I sold you is incomplete
The bottoms out and the soul is missing

Unchain me

I'm on my feet, the door is open but I can't leave
I'm shackled down by this plastic smile
A pretty face that's built to deceive
I've bottomed out in this painted prison

Unchain me

I'm fallen, broken, breathless
My struggle leaves me helpless
I'm here again, I'm here again
I bring a life in shambles and you raise this holy temple
On my covered sin, my covered sin

Unchain me

This is the first ever song I recorded. Thats why it sounds so bad. I hadn't figured out how to use my audio software properly. My voice sounds terrible on this. I did it in one take and didn't change it. I may re-record this song again if I can find the original file. Anywhoo, tell me what you think.

Hellion (complete)

This is the complete version of Hellion. Some of the vocals have been reworked from the previous incomplete version and some of the sound has been tidied up, plus it gets to the full 3 1/2 minutes.
I'm still not entirely happy with the guitar sound but I need to spend some time messing around with my set up to fix that I think.
Thanks for listening. Please vote.

Air that I breathe

Started as a poem. I have to admit that I was so happy with it I had to turn it (minus couple of verses) into a song (usually it's the other way around so it may show). I also have to admit that...no, rather you see (and hear) for yourself. Cut me some slack for ESL, ie English as a Second Language (though neither J. Conrad nor V. Nabokov ever asked for it). Comments, as usual will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here it goes (All caps for easier reading only--can not get used myself to the smallish old type serif typeface we have to deal with. Sorry, mud):

I DON’T CLAIM I’M A WINNER OR THAT I EVER WAS
I CAN NOT SETTLE DOWN AND I NEVER KEEP SCORES

I JUST NEED SKIES ABOVE ME AND THE EARTH RIGHT BENEATH
SOME COLD WATER TO DRINK, MORNING AIR TO BREATHE

FRIENDLY CHAT IN THE EVENING (NO GOSSIPS, PLEASE!)
SOMETHING TUNEFUL TO HUM AND I FEEL RIGHT AT EASE

BUT SOMETIMES, JUST SOMETIMES, EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE
I CAN NOT HELP MYSELF I BREAK DOWN AND CRY

FOR THE FEW THAT I LOVE ‘CAUSE THEY ARE GETTING OLD
FOR THE MANY WHO SOLD SO CHEAP THEIR SOULS

FOR SOMEBODY WHOSE DREAMS I HAVE SHATTERED SO BAD
FOR THE WAYS OF THE WORLD THAT ARE DRIVING ME MAD

IS IT ALL THAT UPSETS ME? NO, I WOULD BE A CHEAT
IF BESIDES WHAT I’VE SAID I WOULD NEVER ADMIT

THAT I CRY MOST OF ALL FOR MY OWN BROKEN HEART
FOR THE SENTENCE YOU NEVER ALLOWED ME TO START

FOR THE NIGHTS I WAS UP AND THE DAYS I WAS DOWN
FOR THE DESPERATE THOUGHTS SPINNING ROUND AND ROUND

STILL I’M GREATEFUL TO YOU FOR THIS COLD WINTER DAY
CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR A SECOND HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY

YOU’RE THE SKIES HIGH ABOVE ME AND THE EARTH RIGHT BENEATH
YOU’RE THE WATER I DRINK AND THE AIR THAT I BREATHE

Knocking on your door (Remix)

Re-mastered, re-mixed, re-posted, re-"bettered" (as in "smoother flow, better drive"). But you'd be the judge and let me know, if you feel like it.
